Our story? It started with two brothers...
…immersed in the world of lean manufacturing.
Chris began his journey at the Toyota Central Research and Development laboratory in Japan.
Jochen led multiple research and platform projects at the Robert Bosch GmbH.
Both were deeply embedded and collecting lean manufacturing experience from the very start—and neither ever left that world behind.
After several years in lean research, consultancy, and training, Chris became a university professor and started sharing his lean passion.
The AllAboutLean blog was born
And it grew… fast… with one post every week, for over twelve years now.
It now hosts over 600 deeply researched articles, making it a leading resource on nearly every lean topic imaginable. Over the years, the blog has gained a strong reputation, particularly among experts, for its practical, high-value content. And we’re still writing and posting new high-value content every week.

From Blog to Business
What started as a side project—a place to share knowledge and insights in the lean world—quickly evolved into something much more. As the blog grew, so did the requests:
