Practical Knowledge, Condensed
Our books are a growing collection of concise, practical guides on essential topics in lean manufacturing. Each book condenses knowledge from our blog and real-world experience into an accessible format that is easy to apply. At this point, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to our supporters who have already created translations into many languages, with more in progress.
The series began 2021 with All About Pull Production, followed by All About Work Standards and All About Manufacturing Fundamentals. With the next one, All About SMED, is already in preparation. Whether you are new to lean manufacturing or looking to refine existing systems, our books offer focused content to support your learning.
The book has received the prestigious Shingo Publication Award on October 2022.
All About Work Standards is a practical guide to developing and improving work standards—crucial for continuous improvement. It features industry examples and clarifies the difference between work standards and Toyota Standard Work. The book also covers Leader Standard Work, its purpose, benefits, and limits. It is ideal for lean practitioners, students, and researchers.
All About Manufacturing Fundamentals is a comprehensive, math-free practical guidebook for students, managers, and professionals across the manufacturing sector to provide an essential understanding of core manufacturing processes. The book covers fundamental aspects of the most relevant production processes.
Due to the big interest in our blog, we have created the Collected Blog Posts Book series of AllAboutLean.com These include all the blog posts for each year. This also allows you a more professional citation to an article in a book, rather than just a blog, if you wish to use my works for academic publications.
Just for fun, Christoph created a book with font samples, as well as some guidelines on which font to choose and how to use which style of font. This was a fun one-week project, completely different from his usual topic of lean manufacturing. As it is quite helpful to see fonts actually printed, the book is available as a paperback only.
